CHARLES w. "PETE" FOSTER

us ARMY SGt

Charles “Pete” Foster was born in Erlanger, KY and graduated from Lloyd High School. He proudly served his country in the US Army as a weather observer, stationed in Japan. After leaving the service, he married Betty Herrick and began working for Cincinnati Gas & Electric as a meter technician. He retired after a 35-year career. Pete and Betty spent their retirement years traveling with their many friends and extended family. He was a charter member of the Erlanger Church of Christ, a Scoutmaster, and sports lover (especially fishing and baseball). Pete played semi-pro baseball where he was known for his side-arm throw from short to first base. He loved his beagle dogs, all things outdoors, and using his quick sense of humor. Most of all, he loved people, especially kids, and brought out the best in them. He passed away at the age of 93 at Elmcroft Senior Living in Florence, KY.
