Band A Wage Scale FY2023 minimum $105,710 and maximum is $135,710. Salary is determined upon work experience.


Under the administrative direction of the Mayor, the City Administrator (Chief Administrative Officer) shall be responsible for the efficient administration of all the affairs of the City. The City Administrator shall plan, direct, and coordinate, through appointed department heads, the various services and activities as determined by the Mayor and/or legislation adopted by City Council. The City Administrator also serves as the City’s ABC Administrator.


  • Advise the executive authority of the city in policy formulation
  • Develops policies, and the city’s Strategic Plan that supports the vision of the Mayor


Manages four subordinate department heads who supervise employees in the Administration Department, IT Department, Finance Department and Economic Development. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform effectively the duties of the position.


Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with some travel to different sites; incumbents may be required to work extended hours including evenings and weekends and may be required to travel outside City boundaries to attend meetings and/or training.


Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
