Property tax bills are mailed by October 1 and due December 31. Property owners receive a 2% discount if taxes are paid by October 31. Taxes become delinquent on January 1 and a 20% penalty will be applied and a 6% interest will be accrued per annum. Postmarks are accepted. If you are 65 years of age or older or totally disabled, you may be eligible for a reduction in the net taxable value of your home. Apply in person at the PVA office or online at kentonpva.org.
