TIM BLACK

Tim Black joined the Public Works Crew in April 1985. He worked with the street and storm sewer repair crew. Although he was primarily a maintenance worker, Tim also assisted the Administration Office from time to time. He enjoyed being at the office and assisting residents with their property taxes. However, Tim’s favorite thing to do was plowing snow through the streets of Erlanger.

During his career at Public Works, Tim obtained his safety inspector license for playground equipment, certification for Work Zone Traffic Control, and completed coursework in the Master Gardener program. In 2008, he was credited for his representation of the City of Erlanger at the annual Equipment Roadeo in Boone County, where he competed in a Dump Truck obstacle course.

Tim celebrated 25 years of service in 2010. City officials presented him with his service pin at the monthly council meeting. Two years later, he retired on May 31, 2012.

Thank you, Tim, for being a part of the City of Erlanger’s story.
