Mountain Bike Unit

Lt. Joe Scroggin is in charge of the Police Mountain Bike Unit. Four officers are currently assigned to the Police Mountain Bike Unit. These officers are assigned to all three shifts and have made a positive impact on the work environment.

All officers have completed special training and are certified as Police Mountain Bike operators.

The Police Mountain Bike officers have made a positive impact on the community. Bike officers have been able to get to know the citizens on a more personal level instead of just driving by and waving from the patrol car. This, coupled with the ability to detect criminal behavior while being undetected, makes the bike officer a valuable tool for the Erlanger Police Department.
