Improvement Projects
Here are a few of the City’s upcoming projects as well as updates on others.
Please be mindful to slow down in construction zones to help keep workers and drivers safe this season.

Sidewalk Improvement Projects
As a continuing effort to replace existing sidewalks after the City’s acquisition of the majority of sidewalks within Erlanger’s jurisdiction, the Public Works Department is honing in on the improvements that will be made next year as the concrete season comes to an end. To recap the 2026 improvements, the majority of funding was allocated to the Cherry Hill Subdivision. The City will continue to expand the improvements with the goal of creating a safe and walkable community in mind.
Street Improvement Projects
Graves and Home Streets will be receiving a mill and fill. This is a removal and replacement of the existing asphalt on the street, leaving a smooth, strong, and clean road. The contract has been awarded to Eaton Asphalt, work will continue in the Spring of 2027.
McAlpin and Hope Streets will also be receiving a mill and fill and has been awarded to Riegler Blacktop; the City is awaiting a start date.
Linwood Avenue will be getting a complete concrete rebuild. The project has been awarded to Jefferson Construction and has an anticipated start date around 10/26/26.
Park Improvement Projects
The City is currently working on two park related projects. The first project continues the development of Eons Adventure Park with the establishment of a maintenance and storage facility for the Public Works Department and the Police Department. To promote safety and responsiveness, the Erlanger Police Department will have access to resources closer to the park, while the Public Works Department will keep maintenance equipment and items in the facility to aid in the upkeep and continued beautification of the park.
Locust Park has begun its first stage of development. Locust Park is the oldest park in the City of Erlanger and has been awaiting a rejuvenation. With the first phase, the City is installing a basketball/pickleball court, a through path, and fencing. This will be followed by phase two, which will include a playground and restroom facility.
