Carl “Moose” Kammerer was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He went to Catholic schools until 4th grade after which he went to Cincinnati public schools. He went into the Marines at the age of 17 and finished high school in Hawaii. In 1975, he was stationed overseas, and his company was sent to Vietnam. In 1976, he was honorably discharged.

He moved to Kentucky in 1984. He and his wife, Dora, bought a house in Erlanger where they have 14 grand kids and 12 great grand kids. They love living in Erlanger. They have now retired and are enjoying life in Erlanger.
