Mayor Jessica Fette called the special council meeting of the Erlanger City Council to order in the City of Erlanger Council Chambers at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
The following Members of City Council were present: Tom Cahill, Chris Farmer, Michele Fields, Tyson Hermes, Jennifer Jasper-Lucas, Diana Niceley, Rebecca Reckers, Renee Skidmore, and Renee Wilson.
Also present were: Mayor Jessica Fette, Chief of Police Mike Leming, City Administrator Mark Collier, City Clerk Sherry Hoffman, Director of Public Works Kevin Quinn, and City Attorney Jack Gatlin.
DISCUSSION – Dixie Highway Reconfiguration

- Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) project boards and exhibits viewing with KYTC engineers and staff available to answer questions
- KYTC formal presentation by Bob Yeager and Nick Hendrix
- Safety improvements on Dixie Highway from Commonwealth Avenue to Turfway Road
- Completion date not determined
- Reviewed feedback received to date
- Met with all cities, schools, and TANK
- Would contact cities when they make their final recommendation
- Comment card collection for ongoing project evaluation process.
The meeting drew a large turnout with most attendees indicating their opposition to the proposed reconfiguration plans.
