John currently lives in Erlanger, KY and has for 51 years. He graduated from Lloyd High School in 1970. One year later, he joined the USMC until 1974 where he achieved the rank of SGT. 

He then joined the USMC Reserves from 1974 through 1977. 

While attending college at NKU, he worked in the banking business at Fifth Third Bank where he still works today. He has been a member of the Erlanger Lions since 1983, where he has acted as the president for three terms and on the board of directors for 36 years. 

For the past 26 years, he has been involved in the Erlanger Lions Youth Sports program, and he coached football at Lloyd High School for 24 years. 

He still works with the Erlanger Lions and Lloyd High School programs to this day, whenever needed.
