TIM BEETEM

Tim Beetem served the Erlanger community for fifteen years. He began his career with the City on October 5, 1998 as a Public Works Maintenance Worker. Tim immediately was considered a valued member of the Public Works team. Within a few years, he was coordinating the operations of their Sign Shop. 

Tim began serving on the City’s Safety Committee in 2002. He was involved in Erlanger’s E-CHAP program and represented the Public Works Department on the Website Committee. 

In March 2003, Tim was named Employee of the Month. He always received high praises from fellow employees who stated he had a multitude of skills that made him not only an asset to the Public Works Department, but to the City as a whole. He was a fun and outgoing person who loved to joke around. Tim was a hard worker but easy going and easy to get along with and work with. He was always smiling.

Tim had earned the respect of his fellow co-workers. His leaders recognized this, as well as his many other excellent qualities, and on December 26, 2011, Tim was promoted to Crew Leader.

Tim represented the City with pride that extended outside of our community. He was active in the Northern Kentucky Branch of the American Public Works Association. He served a two year term on their Executive Board. Tim was also active in their Kentucky State Chapter. He participated annually in their Public Works Equipment Rodeo. One year, Tim was the State Champion, taking home first place in the Dump Truck Driving Competition. In 2004, he and fellow employee Ed Millican won first place out of thirty-eight teams in the truck team event.
