Louis Phillips was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. His family moved to Northern Kentucky shortly after he was born. After graduating from Lloyd High School, he enlisted in the Air Force. He married and settled in Erlanger with his wife and son. He was a Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Elsmere Baptist Church, a baker at Rainbo Bread bakery, and had a small periodical distribution business and janitorial business. He passed away in 1994 of cancer.
