Erlanger Police Monthly Report April 2026


Programs / News:

  • A Sergeant promotion process was completed this month and we would like to congratulate Craig Rose on his upcoming promotion to Sergeant. 
  • The 4-year State Accreditation for the Police Department was successfully completed and will be awarded at the KY Association of Chief’s of Police Conference in August. 
  • Officer Hilvert and K9 Esko attended Career Day a Miles Elementary
  • Officer Lonaker and Sergeant O’Hara. were invited to participate in the first annual Aimpoint National Law Enforcement Shooting Competition in West Virginia. The team consisted of four NKY SWAT members. 
  • Lt Scroggin hosted and taught a Patrol Mountain Bike Officer Training certification course this month, certifying several officers from various agencies in Patrol Bicycle Certification. 

Training:  

  • Officer Allgeier, Officer Taylor, and Officer Diel are doing well in their EMT training and will finish in the coming weeks. 
  • Officer Centers and his new K9 partner Samo are doing well in the Cincinnati K9 training school. 

Investigations/Case Highlights: 

  • Investigation is continuing for a fatality collision involving a pedestrian struck on I75. 
  • A traffic stop on 3rd shift resulted in the seizure of approximately 200 THC Cartridges. 
  • Our officers assisted in locating and apprehending a suspect wanted for 9 counts of arson from Lockland Ohio. 
  • An earlier investigation against suspect William Clark, who was initially investigated by our agency at Silverlake Recreation Center received a 63-month sentence in Federal Court for “Receiving Child Pornography”. This initial call came out as a suspicious person taking photos of children at the pool area. This was great collaboration between our initial responding patrol and our ongoing investigation by detectives to reach the conclusion in this investigation.
