The City of Erlanger is pleased to announce the grand opening of Amber Run Dog Park, located at Eons Adventure Park (4200 Houston Road, Erlanger, KY 41018).
The new dog park will officially open to the public on Thursday, July 9, with a celebration from 4-6 p.m. The event will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with elected officials and follow with open play in the two yards. The grand opening marks a significant milestone in the continued development of one of the region’s premier recreational destinations.
Amber Run Dog Park features two fully fenced grassy play areas designed to accommodate both large and small dogs. Surrounded by secure fencing and highlighted by a vibrant painted 120-foot mural, the park provides a safe, welcoming environment where dogs can exercise, socialize, and play off-leash. Each paddock includes seating areas with decorative rock walls, allowing pet owners to relax while enjoying the space with their four-legged companions. Water fountains are also available in both the small and big dog play areas.
Visitors will also be able to check out the Eons of Puppy Love banners. Dog owners can purchase a banner that will be on display for two years to show off their furry friend(s). While banners are sold out for 2026, those interested in purchasing can submit their information to the waitlist for 2027 by visiting the following link.
The grand opening celebration will feature giveaways, community activities, and vendor booths from Erlanger pet-focused businesses, including PetSuites of America, Allie’s Walkabout, and more!
Much of the construction at Amber Run Dog Park was completed by the Erlanger Public Works Department. Through months of planning and hands-on work, department staff built many of the park’s amenities themselves, significantly reducing project costs and delivering substantial savings for taxpayers. Their dedication and pride in their work helped transform the vision for the park into reality.
The opening of Amber Run Dog Park is just the beginning of the broader Eons Adventure Park. Additional amenities currently under development include the highly anticipated pump track, slated for a ribbon-cutting this summer, and scenic overlooks. Residents can expect further announcements regarding these projects and future grand opening celebrations later this year.
