Erlanger Earns 2025 Tree City USA Recognition from Arbor Day Foundation

The City of Erlanger is proud to announce it has been named a 2025 Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation, recognizing the City’s ongoing commitment to urban forestry, environmental stewardship and the enhancement of community green spaces.

The Tree City USA designation honors communities that demonstrate a strong dedication to maintaining and growing their urban tree canopy through sound forestry management, public engagement and sustained investment in green infrastructure. Erlanger’s recognition reflects the City’s continued efforts to preserve natural beauty while improving quality of life for residents.

A key driver of these efforts has been the leadership and initiative of Erlanger Public Works, which has prioritized the expansion and enhancement of parks, trails and green spaces throughout the community.

Among these efforts is the highly anticipated Eons Adventure Park, set to open this summer. This new destination will provide residents and visitors with a unique outdoor recreational experience, further strengthening the City’s commitment to accessible, family-friendly green spaces. Eons will be Erlanger’s 13th park, joining community favorites Flagship Park, Silverlake Park, Cahill Commons and Misty Creek, to name a few.

To earn Tree City USA recognition, Erlanger met four core standards established by the Arbor Day Foundation and the National Association of State Foresters: maintaining a tree board or department, having a community tree ordinance, spending at least $2 per capita on urban forestry, and celebrating Arbor Day.

The City of Erlanger remains committed to creating vibrant outdoor spaces that support the health and well-being of the community. Learn more at Erlangerky.gov
