- Specialist Centers and Samo his K9 Partner graduated from 16 weeks K9 training
- Sergeant John Hines graduated from the Academy of Police Supervision
- Officers participated in the Special Olympics Torch Run from Gabe’s on Houston Road to the Erlanger City Building on June 3rd
- Officer Hilvert did a K9 Demo with Esko for Depot Days

Training:
- Quarterly range training was conducted with all department members.
- Sgt. Hines attended and graduated from the 3-week Academy of Police Supervision
- Detectives Holmstrom and Jansen completed a 2-week Homicide Investigation Course through SPI
- PSW Moore and Ofc Lyle attended FBI Suicide Intervention training
Investigations/Case Highlights:
- Officers responded to a drug induced emotional crisis at the railroad tracks. A subject had climbed the light tower above the railroad tracks. Officers and NKY SWAT Negotiators were involved in a 7-hour standoff, before talking the individual down from the tower peacefully and without injury. The subject was transported for mental health evaluation and later arrested on multiple outstanding warrants.
- Officer Centers and his K9 partner Samo assisted in a traffic stop and located 14 grams of meth on their first shift out of training.
- Officers investigated a strangulation case and are awaiting charges through the Commonwealth Attorney’s office
- During self-initiated traffic stops this month, officers located two guns that had been entered as stolen/lost and recovered them without incident.
