ERLANGER POLICE MONTHLY REPORT MAY 2026

Programs / News:

  • K9 Keno officially retired the end of this month and Officer Hartke is leaving for a year long deployment to the Middle East. We are keeping Glenn and his family in our thoughts and prayers during his deployment!
  • The Police Department participated in the Erlanger Elsmere Memorial Day Parade and the Annual Police Memorial in Covington. Erlanger had a great representation of officers.
  • The K9 teams participated in several community events this month with demonstrations and school functions. 
  • The Erlanger Police Honor Guard participated in several events this month, including the Police Memorial, The Memorial Day Parade, and Presenting the Colors for the FC Cincinnati Game. 

Training:  

  • Officer Clay Centers and K9 Samo are doing well in training and are expected to finish training and be active on patrol next month
  • Department wide handcuff training was conducted this month with training Officer Loos
  • Officer Eagler, PSW Moore, and several officers attended a NKY Peer Support Conference for First Responder Wellness
  • The Crime Scene Team conducted a training this for this quarter. 

Investigations/Case Highlights: 

  •  Patrol and Detectives worked collaboratively to investigate a Burglary 1st on Riggs. Patrol was able to utilize Flock Cameras to develop a lead on the suspect’s vehicle, leading Detectives to locating and seizing the vehicle. The investigation is still pending. 
  • Detectives were able to investigate and solve a credit card fraud using Facial Recognition Technology through KSP. 
  • Patrol investigated and identified a juvenile suspect of repeated criminal mischiefs in Spring Valley Subdivision. Patrol obtained a confession after interviewing the juvenile and filed charges with the CDW office.
