Lowell “Gene” Fooks was born in Xenia, Ohio and raised in Erlanger. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force at a young age, and dedicated eight years to serving our country, with four years in the Air Force and then another four years in the Air Force Reserve.
After receiving an Honorable Discharge as Airman First Class in 1959, Lowell came back to Erlanger with his wife and daughter. He made his home here until his passing in 1991.
