John E. Martin was born to Bill and Diane Martin in 1973. He has one sibling, Michelle. John has three children; Lainey, Jack and Lola! He graduated from Lloyd High School and has an Associate in Fire Science from the College of the United States Airforce and a Bachelors in Business Administration from Thomas Moore University Magna Cum Laude. He was Active Duty Air Force from 1999-2003. He then joined the KY Air National Guard in 2003 until 2021 when he retired as MSGT. He went on three deployments to the Middle East and received multiple Commendation and Achievement Medals.

He is a Certified Kentucky and IFSAC certified Firefighter, Instructor, Fire Officer, Haz Mat Technician and Inspector. He currently resides in Erlanger, KY.
