ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ERLANGER, IN KENTON COUNTY, KENTUCKY, APPROVING AND ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENT TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing, of Cincinnati, Ohio (ALP), has completed the 2026 S-10 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Erlanger (Code), which updates the Code through Ordinance Number 2590 since the revision thereof pursuant to KRS 83A.060 (11) that was adopted by Ordinance Number 2586; and
WHEREAS, ALP has recommended the revision or addition of certain sections of the Code that are based on or make reference to sections of the Kentucky Revised Statutes; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council of the City of Erlanger to accept the previously described supplementation, revisions, deletions and additions so that the Erlanger Code of Ordinances will be current through Ordinance Number 2590 and won’t have any obsolete, inconsistent or invalid provisions, and will be in conformity with state law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF ERLANGER, IN KENTON COUNTY, KENTUCKY, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.0 – Adoption of 2026 S-10 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances
The 2026 S-10 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Erlanger, as prepared by ALP, is hereby made a part of the permanent records of the City of Erlanger and adopted by reference as if fully set forth herein pursuant to KRS 83A.060(5).
Section 2.0 – Provisions Severable
The provisions of this ordinance are severable; and the invalidity of any provision of this ordinance shall not affect the validity of any other provision thereof; and such other provisions shall remain in full force and effect as long as they remain valid in the absence of those provisions determined to be invalid.
Section 3.0 – Conflicting Ordinances Repealed
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4.0 – Effective Date
This ordinance shall be effective as soon as possible according to law.
Section 5.0 – Publication
This ordinance shall be published in summary pursuant to K.R.S. 424.145.
