City of Erlanger Social Services Department

Erlanger Social Services Program

The Erlanger Social Services Program serves as a link between law enforcement and community members, addressing issues such as mental health concerns, substance use, homelessness, and domestic violence. Social service workers are referred to as “second responders,” providing support for the Department of Public Safety by connecting residents with social services and resources that aid in assisting with their current situation. The Erlanger Social Services Program creates a holistic approach to assisting community members and providing care for residents during active emergencies and after the initial crisis has been handled.

Maryann Moore is the City of Erlanger’s Police Social Service Coordinator. To connect with Maryann, please email her at maryann.moore@erlangerpd.com.

Erlanger Police E-Angel Program

The Erlanger Police E-Angel Program was created to assist community members with exigent emergencies or crises where atypical intervention is required. This program is complementary to the traditional services provided by the Erlanger Social Services Program and focuses on addressing the immediate need from residents that take into account exigent circumstances or external intervention to ensure the safety and well-being of the individual or those around them is maintained. The goal of this program is to be able to help, while existing community resources are being engaged to help maintain safety and stabilization. Each instance is individual and limited and based on involvement with the Erlanger Police Social Service Coordinator.

The E-Angel program is funded completely by donations from community members and local businesses. To donate to the E-Angel fund and support community members in their time of need, please reach out to the City of Erlanger’s Police Social Service Coordinator, Maryann Moore at maryann.moore@erlangerpd.com.
