The City of Erlanger would like to recognize the many achievements and long service of Rick Bogard.
Rick Bogard started with the City of Erlanger on December 4, 1993 as a Codes Administration Specialist. In 1997, he was promoted to Superintendent/Director of Public Works.
Prior to coming to Erlanger, Rick obtained an Associate of Arts in Fire Science and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Risk Management. He was a Kentucky State Certified Level 1 Building Inspector and a Kentucky Certified Fire Inspector.
While at Erlanger, Rick served on the Capital Vehicle, Capital Building, Safety, and Erlanger/Elsmere Dixie Renaissance Advisory Committees. He also represented Erlanger by serving on the Executive Committee of the Northern Kentucky Branch of American Public Works Association.
Additionally, Rick was active in the community of Erlanger. He was a member of the Tichenor Middle School Site Based Council. In 2013, he participated in the Northern Kentucky Lock Up Fundraiser for Muscular Distrophy.
Rick was well respected in the Public Works community. He was willing to go above and beyond to get things done. Since his retirement in 2018, Rick has worked in security. He enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Gretchen, and their canine companion. They often visit their son Dylan and family in Richmond, Ky.
